56 - The winner takes it all.

The weather was warm; the competition was hot, hot, hot!

The day ran like clock work as usual with Tracy at the helm sorting out any little problems. At the close of entries we had 14 competitors and on the day we had 41, so in fairness to me it was not easy fitting everyone in and yes I did forget to buy more score sheets!!

Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and reached their own goals. It was a first for some; competing at their very first dressage competition, or with a new partnership and some competing at a higher level for the first time.

Many thanks to our judge Claire Speer list 3 BD judge. Claire commented on the high standard and felt that several with scores of 67% and above were ready to start affiliated competitions. Thank you also to our writers Ali, Tracy and Lynn, to our stewards Colin and Terse and not forgetting Tony’s work behind the scenes.

The biggest thank you goes to Tracy Upshall. Louise and I are so grateful to Tracy who very kindly sponsored and organised the point’s league throughout all our competitions this year. She has done a fantastic job and we really could not have done it without her, well certainly not with my mathematical skills!!

Well done to our overall winner Lisa Pedley who has won a portrait of her horse by “Jenny’s Art” to Chloe Fear who has won a lesson with either Louise or myself and to Carly Jackson who has won a voucher for £10 towards a lesson with either Louise or myself.
