57 - Team Dressage at Stocks Farm gets the thumbs up.

Anyone who organises competitions will understand the amount of time and effort that goes into ensuring there smooth running; so when you receive such lovely positive comments, it makes it all worthwhile.

We thought it would have to be cancelled due to the relentless rain but Liesa and the fantastic Stocks Farm Staff worked very hard preparing the arenas and working out how to park everyone on dry ground.

The reaction from the competitors when we apologised for the somewhat damp conditions was quite enlightening. “We are just pleased it still running” “It is to be expected in the winter” “Its great to have a local event, can you do more?” were some of the comments.

There seemed to be excellent team spirit, with everyone appearing to know each other, so it turned into a jolly social event with plenty of hot coffee and homemade cup cakes being enjoyed.

We had a total of 9 teams and the overall winners were “Team Perry”, consisting of the three worthy winners, Sarah Turnbull, Stacey Miles and Sarah Perry. Well done ladies.

Thank you Di Tubbs and Denise Robertson our judges and their writers who gave up their time for us and without them the event could not run.

Above all thank you to Tracey Pitman who put the schedule together, did the times and calculated the results. She did have a little help from her husband Darren who designed a special programme to input all the results and it even speaks back to you to confirm your calculations. How cool is that??

Congratulations to Hannah Pearce and the lovely Dougal who won the 2ft 9 jumping at Kingston Maurward College on the 6th October. Also well done to Oliver Turner and Harley for coming 6th in the BE 90 at Larkhill.

The clinic At the Fortune Centre on 30th November is now full but there are other dates available and also a Christmas clinic at Kingston Maurward on Friday 20th December with coffee and mince pies.
